Itinerary

Day 1: Cochin
On arrival at Cochin International Airport , you are greeted and transported to hotel at Fort Cochin . Rest of the day at leisure with local exploring this heritage town of ancient churches, synagogue, museums & the Chinese fishing nets.

Day 2: Cochin to Marari Beach Distance 55 Km
We will commence our cycling in the morning. We take beach roads of Kerala to our destination for the day, a beautiful beach villa. Today’s ride will take us along the fishing villages and coconut plantations on one side and the sea on the other. We will have lunch and take a short break on the way and reach the destination at tea time. We will spend the afternoon on the beach.

Day 3: Marari Beach to Alleppey (House boat ) 20 Km
After a relaxed breakfast, we will head to Alleppey, known for its serene backwaters. The route passes through country roads and small villages where we will see coconut husk being processed and made into coir ropes and mats. We will hit the backwaters and cycle along the waters till we reach a jetty where we will embark a wooden house boat. Our cycles will be transported by road to Kumarakom, another backwater Destination of Kerala. When we disembark from the boat cycles will be waiting for us. While cruising in these floating luxury-villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual – skim past Chinese fishing nets, Many parts of Alleppy is below sea level, paddy cultivation below sea level by making mud blocks around the field is also a worth watching sight, local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Food will be served onboard. Overnight stay in the houseboat

Day 4: Alleppey to Kumarakom (House boat)
After breakfast check out from houseboat in the morning and cycle along the paddy fields and coconut groves, and check in the backwater resort at Kumarakom. We can spend the rest of the day paddling through the village roads and also go for a country boat ride through the inland water ways.

Day 5: Depart
After breakfast proceed to airport for onward journey by cab , with cherished memories of the travel.

CLIMATE
The weather is moderate, Summer March to May 30 – 37 , Celsius. Monsoons months are June to September. October to February it will be around 25 – 30 Celsius

TRANSPORTATION/ GUIDES
Transportation including airport transfers are included in the cost. The vehicle with roof top carriers will accompany throughout.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE
You can exchange your money at most major towns. ATMs are found in most Keralan towns.
